Early stage investments are important for stimulating innovation and economic growth. At the same time, these investments are very challenging. For entrepreneurs, it is challenging since the number of ventures seeking funding is rapidly increasing and becomes harder to stand out in mass requests for funding. In addition, finding financial resources is not sufficient: the venture should search for smart funding. In other words, entrepreneurs should search for investors who can also provide strategic value (e.g. relevant expertise and networks)
For the investor(s) financing growth and innovation signifies risk taking behavior. Structured and solid analysis will increase investors’ understanding of the venture’s growth potential and main risks. Subsequently the risks can be managed with the right approach and skills.
MatchingWINGS provides support to ventures and investors in the early stage investment phase. MatchingWINGS tooling uses a structured, science-based assessment framework to better understand any potential risks. Suggestions for remedies to overcome identified risks will increase the chances of success both for the venture and the investors. That is the true value of MatchingWINGS.
